Onyii & Co. was founded in 2013 by Onyii Brown, a wife, and mother of three based in Houston, TX. The brand has been featured in Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Martha’s Stewards American Made, and PBS start-up USA, Refinery 29 and many more.
Onyii & Co. has a very rich narrative that tells a story of perseverance and resilience that encourages the women that wear the clothes to take ownership of who they really are and their own destiny. We inspire our customers to be themselves without any apologies, hence our tagline “Being You.”
We believe that we are called to empower the women that wear, produce and sell our clothing in the US, Ghana, Nigeria, and other parts of the world.
We produce garments with high-quality cotton and linen in bold yet feminine prints that represent the cosmopolitan woman. It is a wonderful blend of African influences in a contemporary context yet we find inspiration from all parts of the world. Each season we incorporate figure-flattering wrap dresses (which has become our “signature”) and skirts into each of our collections because we believe that although a woman's body may change, her desire to feel feminine and beautiful never wanes. We also offer an assortment of pieces, from high-waist pants, crop tops, to reversible suit jackets which, given their timeless expressions, mix and match in unimaginable ways with existing wardrobes.
Our mission is to honor the relentless spirit of our customers by consistently creating bold yet feminine prints and casual yet elegant silhouettes thus reflecting the complexity and diversity of those cosmopolitan women who wear them.
We will continue to explore, beyond the boundaries of our products, the source which animates their creation by seeking and encouraging those enduring cosmopolitan values that transcend time and place.
